Dental bridge involves replacing a missing area by using the neighboring teeth. There will be two crowns that are placed over two anchoring teeth (abutment teeth) and attached to the missing area (pontic teeth), to fill the missing gap.

This procedure usually takes two appointments. First appointment is when two anchoring teeth will be prepared by removing portion of the tooth structure to allow for the bridge. Then an impression will be taken. Second appointment involves checking the permanent bridge to ensure proper fit and bite and then cemented.
